Abstract

Keywords: Interactive Video, Academic Performance, Digital Learning Media

This research is motivated by the urgent need to integrate digital technology in
English language learning, particularly in grammar material often considered
difficult by Indonesian students. Using a quasi-experimental method with pretestposttest control group design, the study involved 30 seventh-grade students of SMP
Al-Ikhlash Mulyorejo Panceng divided into experimental (15 students, using
Edpuzzle) and control groups (15 students, conventional learning). The results
showed the experimental group experienced an average score increase from 61.33
to 87.33 with N-Gain of 0.69 (medium category), while the control group improved
from 50.00 to 80.67 with N-Gain of 0.49 (medium category). Correlation test
revealed a significant positive relationship between students' perception of
Edpuzzle and their improved understanding (r=0.677, p=0.006). These findings
imply the importance of integrating Edpuzzle-based interactive video media in
grammar learning to support digital transformation of education in Indonesia.
Effective implementation requires teacher professional development, technological
infrastructure support, and policies ensuring equal access for all Indonesian
students.
